Sportfish & Convertibles

Scarborough Boatworks Building since 1977.

Ricky Scarborough Sr. spent a few weeks in 1976 building a sportfisherman under Captain Omie Tillett, understood it, and started his own shop the following year. Close to a hundred boats have come out of Wanchese since — the first big one a 44-footer in 1981 — and Ricky Jr. has carried the yard on since 2004.
