Sportfish & Convertibles
Whiticar Boat Works Building since 1947.
Curt Whiticar built his first boat at fourteen; in 1947 he bought an army mess hall at Camp Murphy for $425, took it apart by hand and reassembled it on Willoughby Creek as a boatyard. He built more than sixty boats before retiring from full-time building in 1986 and died at 106; the family still runs the yard.
